GPT - A brief history
Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPT) have significantly advanced natural language processing (NLP). The journey began with GPT-1, introduced in 2018, laying the groundwork for what would become a revolutionary approach to understanding and generating human-like text.
GPT-1 was built upon the concept of transformers, a type of neural network architecture introduced in 2017. Transformers were designed to handle sequential data, like text, more effectively than previous models.
