Q: What are tokens?
A: Like many AI tools, Vision uses tokens to complete tasks. In our case, we use Vision to generate personalised feedback, so having tokens makes it easy for you to manage usage. The number of tokens needed per scan varies by the image quality and complexity of questions on the page. For example, a page with 4 multiple-choice questions would cost fewer tokens than a page with 4 short-answer questions. To check your current token balance, simply check out the bottom left corner of your dashboard.
Q: What's the difference between Vision and generic LLMs?
A: Generic LLMs are more focused on generating content, while Vision is more focused on understanding the context of the learning environment and providing feedback that is personalised to the student. We work with world-class publishing houses to ensure that our feedback is aligned with local curriculum.
Q: How accurate is the optical character recognition (OCR) technology of Vision?
A: Vision goes beyond using the conventional OCR technology. We use a deeper AI engine to better capture the messiest handwritings. A rule of thumb is if Vision can't read the handwriting, then final exam assessors (likely human) are unlikely to recognise it!
Q: How is Claro different from a generic chatbot like ChatGPT?
A: Claro is our AI-powered chatbot that understands the educational context and keeps the student focused on the task at hand. Users can ask it questions specific to the subject or topic they are working on. Try asking it "What's for lunch?" and it will kindly nudge you back to your learning journey. It will also never give you answers.
